Tea-party - 13 August 2025

We held our 3rd consecutive annual tea-party for Hopper passengers on 13 August 2025. Some 60 of our customers attended and indulged in chatting with tea, coffee and some delicious home-made cake made by our very own Penny and Jude, two of our volunteer drivers. A great time was had by all.

Andy Buchanan, our Chair, provided a little speech with an update on how our Harpenden Hopper community minibus services are progressing - and also the challenges we face as we move forward.

Councillor Terry Heritage, Mayor of the City & District of St Albans attended too. Terry is also a Trustee of Harpenden Connect Limited, the charity that operates the Harpenden Hopper community minibus service.

Madeleine Clark, Community Services Manager at Harpenden Town Council also came along. Madeleine has recently spent a whole morning travelling on the Hopper minibus service, meeting, listening and talking to many of our passengers.
